Buckeye Criterium

Verrado in Buckeye, AZThe Buckeye Criterium is a single day USA Cycling sanctioned bicycle race run on closed streets in Buckeye, AZ.  The innagural event in 2007 saw the race run through downtown Buckeye, starting in 2008 the event stayed in Buckeye and featured the community of Verrado.  With moving the course to Verrado, participants and spectators have a multitude of choices to view all the action and get a drink or bite to eat in several businesses nearby.

The criterium style race is an exciting race that will see the racers attaining speeds in excess of 30 mph. The course is a short figure-8 in downtown Buckeye that offers the spectators many chances to see the action. There are over 10 categories of amateur and professional riders, both men and women, ages 10 to over 60.  Racing starts at 7AM and the last race will end at about 4 PM. The full day of racing also includes many special events for children and all family members including a Kid's Bicycle Rodeo and a Kid's Race.
